Good interior design is the artful interpretation of the knowledge and understanding of design theory. You may visit the Quest Newspaper site for a history of Aviva Lee's design column.

Concerning women and fashion, Aviva says please quote me....."I believe in women.  I believe in the unique beauty of each individual woman.  A woman can accentuate her own unique beauty by what she wears and how she carries herself.  Personally, I do not want to walk out of my door and into the street, looking like I just left the set of a Star Trek episode.  I adhere to that age old saying, 'a time and a place for all things...'.  Though the costumes on a movie set may be wonderful, I am in favor of them staying on the movie set, not being marketed to women, as something 'new' or 'the latest must wear fad'.  Beautiful garments in  my opinion. are those which personify a woman's feminity, designed solely for construction in natural fibers, i.e. cotton, silk, linen, ramie, or wool.  I would rather possess one fabulous dress, then own a dozen 'rags'.
